We have been gearing up for the new Alien Covenant Movie by re-watching all of the old movies in the franchise. We started,of course, with the original Aliens from 1979.
Which in my opinion, is the best movie in the whole series. How can you not love young Sigourney Weaver blasting her way through the ship with her little cat carrier?
Don’t even get me started on the scene with the cat watching an alien tearing up a human. Jones you truly are the star of the movie. The look of mild interest as this whole gruesome death scene is happening always makes me smile.
This brings me to my second favorite part of this movie. The scene where the Science Officer, Ash is revealed to be an android.
It was this part of the movie that got me thinking. There should be an Alien – Android Blood Cocktail! Ash is such an asshole character that just was working for the man and sold out his whole crew. So lets drink to his death!
So here it is!
In a saucepan combine the coconut milk, vanilla and sugar turn up the heat to medium low and add in the sugar. Make sure to stir frequently until sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot and simmering, this should take about 5 minutes. Taste and add more sugar if a sweeter drink is desired. When that’s cooled a bit put it into the fridge to completely chill. Take it out of the fridge and add in the 2 cups of rum. Pour the concoction into a nice cocktail glass. Garnish with whipped cream, and to create the android innards, we used a white straw and white chocolate Lindt balls. All you have to do is poke a straw through the ball and boom, you got yourself a good looking android cocktail. Feel free to add nutmeg or some shredded coconut.
Beware, the drink’s “structural perfection is matched only by it’s hostility”. So don’t drink too many of these. Unless you want to have a melt down and end up beheaded on a table with your crew just staring at you. Cheers everyone! Coconut, rum and white chocolate, you can’t beat that.
