Mineko’s Night Market! AKA – My Personal Dream Simulator.

Mineko’s Night Market is like a cat scratch fever dream of mine come true. As read in the Steam Store game description, “Mineko’s Night Market is an adventure/merchant simulation game inspired by games like Animal Crossing with a stronger emphasis on story, crafting, and exploration. You play as Mineko, a curious girl who has just arrived at her new home on a struggling superstitious Japanese-inspired island at the base of Mount Fugu. Discover the secrets behind the town while managing your daily activities, completing various jobs, venturing on whimsical quests, and crafting peculiar items in preparation for the weekly Night Market!” Well, I am sold!

What’s not to love? Judging from the teaser trailer, in this game you can:

• Participate in cat racing. Come on nibbles, drift around the corners, drift!

• Garden and then pluck a cat out of the ground. Oh, I wanted a tabby cat, better luck next time!

 

• Run your own stall in a quaint market. Sell, sell, sell! You’re gonna have to do better than $150 grandmother! No sweethearting deals here!

On the game’s web page, they specifically mention cattling cats as one of the features of the game, HA! Do these developers personally know my deepest desires? If I had a penny for every time I have said that my dream job is cattling cats, well, I’d have enough money to buy this game.

Mineko’s Night Market is slated to come out in 2019, so hopefully this game will be released in time so that it can be under the Christmas tree this year.

Can we just talk about how aesthetically pleasing and adorable the art style of this game is? Be still my heart! Its so saturated and the almost oil pastel chalk like textures on everything are so perfect! I am definitely looking forward to this game coming out.
